Smart Skinny Snacking

Hi Reader!

You may have been told snacking between meals is a bad thing. I'm here to tell you that's wrong!!

Snacking between meals can be great to stabilize your energy and appetite so you don't go off the rails during meals. But you have to do it right.

A good snack is rich in nutrients while being relatively low in calories. Instead of empty calories from sugary or highly processed snacks, opt for whole foods that provide vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and whole grains are excellent choices.

Protein takes longer to digest and will keep you full longer and your energy up. A satisfying texture can satisfy your mind as well as your stomach. Most of all it should taste good and be something you enjoy!

Here are 5 favorites everyone will love:

Chips

If you are a potato chip addict there are some great ways to get the chip crunch texture without the high calories. Our choices are all made in the air fryer too!

Popcorn

A classic snack that's filling, crunchy but low in calories. Whether you make it in the microwave, air popper or try our instant pot version it's a great choice.

Hard Boiled Eggs

And excellent source of protein for a great calorie value. If you haven't made eggs in the air fryer now is the time! It's a fun water-free method.

Powdered Peanut Butter

Whether you are looking for more protein for a smoothie or post workout shakes, love peanut butter and can't work it into a low calorie eating plan, peanut butter powder is the answer.

It offers all the things you love about peanut butter without the attributes that make it unappealing for weight loss plans.

Vegetables and Dip

Vegetables and fruit are great on their own but adding some healthy fat and protein makes them more enjoyable and filling. Here are some favorites:
